Lunchtime walk until washed out by torrential rain. Quite a few birds including black-headed, herring and lesser black-backed gulls, oystercatchers, curlews, lapwings, a kestrel and a buzzard, wheatears (pic below from a later day), house martins and swallows, mallards, coots, mute swans, goldfinches, pied wagtails, a heron, a reed warbler, and lots of shelducks.
