In celebration of submitting my grant, I took the afternoon to pursue Project BIDSLY (Birds I didn't see last year). I didn't manage to find buntings or longspurs among the larks (pic). I did manag eot see my first Northern Harrier and Kestrel of the year, and the main event, some Short-eared Owls (that smudge is an SEO flying right, honest) on Bullfrog Rd, Taneytown (and still be back for dinner).
