Triadelphia Reservoir and Irvine

This afternoon I followed up on a report of a Sabine's Gull just beyond Columbia. A wayward bird that is migrating south after breeding up in the Arctic, this was a great bird! So good it brought a dozen or so top-notch birders to it, one of whom could also show me a wayward Baird's Sandpiper. I guess last night's storms have an upside.

Enboldened by my success, I also dropped into Irvine on my way home, where Keith Costley had reported an Olive-sided Flycatcher earlier in the day. Sure enough, I was able to find him, sporting his characteristic waistcoat.
