Sparrows and Owls

As I left the apartment, Ffion said 'Might See Owl', and it turned out she was right.  I went out looking for Sparrows this afternoon, finding year Chipping, American Tree and Field Sparrows, also Eastern Bluebirds. As I was looking for my Swamp Sparrow, KC saw me and texted (showing good birdwatchingwatching skills), so I headed back up to find him.  He was hot on the heels of any exciting owl sighting, a Northern Saw-whet Owl, and invited me along. Having learnt a lot about owl poo, and searched extensively for it, we eventually found the owl in the first tree we tried. He was hidden incredibly well and the best angle I could get was this...!
