Sunday afternoon stroll around the Inner Harbor. The 'how many species?' swaapstake was won by neither of us (me:7, Mel:5). The complete list: ring-billed gull, house sparrow, coot, mallard, starling, canvasback, herring gull, pigeon and a relatively long-distance view of a Northern Shoveler.This is a momentuous US Bird 50 - or one third of the way to my US allocation in the grand plan.
