Two trips to Fort McHenry this weekend: yesterday morning in very strong winds for a rather brid-light bird walk and this afternoon for a post-prandial stroll with Mel and Ffion. I saw a pair of American Tree Sparrows down on the edge of the marsh at first and then up in the small trees on the grass above. Other than that, birds over the two visits: bufflehead, mallards, wigeon, shoveler, 3 gulls, song sparrows in abundance, Cooper's hawk (pic below), red-winged blackbirds, house finches.
