The weather has eased off in the last week and Patterson Park was flooded with Red-winged Blackbirds this morning, which have been absent through the cold weather. Maybe this will signal further changes as spring approaches... there are an additional 31 species that I have not yet seen down as common or abundant in Spring.
I am slowly eating up the birds in hand (worth two in the bush) and am now +25 and due to run out by March 13. But the list defines Spring as March-May, so I should be fine!
