Chattahoochee River, Atlanta, GA (+63)

Pretty much convinced I saw a broad-winged hawk, a pair actually, then watched one in a tree above the parking lot being bothered by a jay. Swallows over the river were mostly Barn, but there were some Cliff Swallows too - light rump and stumpy tail. Also, a ruby-throated hummingbird on the way out. Hummingbird for sure - ruby-throated by exclusion.

Also a probably new nuthatch in the garden - might go out to look again...

  1. Disappointed to discover that the Barn swallow is just a swallow in Europe - not a new bird :-(
