Patterson Park (+68)

An encouraging week in the park as the migrants flood in. Definitely helps that I haven't been there for a couple of weeks or more. Two new birds today - both around the White House. There were lots of ovenbirds (pic above) once I decided they were neither sparrows nor hermit thrushes. I saw a House Wren too, although it disppeared again quite quickly. Definitely smaller and not a Carolina Wren, and had a long tail, so not Winter Wren. Thus House...
Along with lots of White-throated sparrows, there were chipping sparrows too (pic below).
