Loch Raven Reservoir (+33)

A sub-zero day at the mostly frozen Loch Raven reservoir. The ice kept a lot of the water birds close enough to see. (pic: red-bellied woodpecker no. 46)
New Birds: 48. Cardinal 49. Whistling Swan 50. Hooded Merganser
Other Birds: Canada Goose, Ring-necked Duck, Mallard, Tufted titmouse, Slate-colored junco, song sparrow, chickadees (query carolina/black-capped), red-bellied woodpecker, american coot.
Amazed to see Bald Eagles way out on the ice, looked like two adults and a young one with something edible. (pic: no. 38 bald eagle)
